With the brand new feature, Version history, you can restore your previous layouts in two clicks or save your recent designs separately. Here’s how.

What is the Version history

Version history creates snapshots of your project using a progressive compression algorithm. The snapshots are made every 10 minutes, but the older the snapshots, the fewer are stored. You can read more about how the algorithm works here.

Snapshot capacity by plans

Version history is available for all paid plans. Snapshots will start being taken only after you upgrade from the free plan. If you upgrade your paid plan to a more advanced one, your old snapshots will stay, and the new snapshots will start generating according to the new capacity.

There are different snapshot tiers for different plans. The snapshot capacity is 6 per project on the Personal plan, 12 on Freelancer, 24 on Studio, and 44 on the Advanced plan. Suppose you have a Personal plan, which includes 6 snapshots per project. The most recent 4 snapshots are saved every 10 minutes of uninterrupted work in the Editor, covering 40 minutes of it. The rest 2 snapshots are saved every 6 steps, with each step being 10 minutes. It means that the 4th to 6th snapshots will have 1 hour between them. You can read more about the version capacities for each plan here.

A popup with snapshots of the previous versions of your project will appear. Here, you can see all the saved versions and recover them. You have two data recovery options: “Make a copy” and “Restore.” The second option rolls your current project back to the desired version. This action can’t be undone.
