New video experience: upload and customize to suit your needs
The redesigned Video widget now supports direct file uploads, customizable interfaces, and the ability to integrate personalized controls using other widgets.

The latest Readymag update includes features for working with video files. It’s aimed to simplify your experience and provide more creative freedom without external integrations or custom code.
Upload
The key new feature is the opportunity to upload videos directly—with your full control and without the need for third-party integrations. You can upload videos up to 6 MB on Free and Personal plans, and videos up to 50 MB on other plans.

Customize
Direct file uploading gives you more control over how videos are presented and viewed on the page. Customization options are maxed out now, and here’s some more about each of them.
By default, Custom controls are turned on. You can choose between icon or text and decide where to place the controls, or even tie them to the cursor position. Additionally, you can adjust the color, size, and other attributes and hide the controls during playback.

Alternatively, you can switch to Default controls—the interface of a browser's native player. You can’t customize it, but it provides more control options, such as timeline, volume, and full-screen view. This is why these controls can be handy for longer videos.

If controls are turned off, playback can start and stop on click or on hover.

In addition to click and hover, you can customize the starting and pausing of the video with additional triggers that can be any other widget.

You can also change the display parameters for the video itself, such as Borders, Radius, and Opacity. This is in addition to existing options like Autoplay, Mute, Loop, and Thumbnail.
Add final touches
Three more new features you should know about:
- You can add a link to the video.
- You can choose a custom cursor for the video.
- Videos can be made draggable.
